This day started off pretty different from our ‘usual’ routine on the island of Koh Chang. We didn’t have any running water in our accommodation since the evening before, so we decided to move to another accommodation. Real life experience of the day: water efficiency on Koh Chang is not that good… After having moved our luggage, half of our group continued with the quantitative data collection of water use. With bottles and a stopwatch they measure how much water comes through the faucet and shower per minute and also how much water the toilet flush uses. Spontaneously they also had an interview with one of the bungalow owners. The others of the group continued with the processing of the data in the cool room of the bungalow. In the afternoon we had a few hours of deserved beach time… At the end of the day there was a small information meeting with the main supervisors about the stakeholder meeting. Another surprise at night: it was so cold in our room that we had to put on socks to sleep!
