Thursday evening we were surprised by Michael with some good news; Robert would arrive tomorrow morning! A small group of 4 people joined Michael and Harald the next morning to pick him up. During our ride we were entertained by the sight of goats being transported on scooters. Once we arrived at the airport we waited for 20 minutes before Wiz Khalifa’s “We Dem Boyz” introduced Robert. After a warm welcoming (emotionally and climate wise) we as a reunited group went to cool down at a local beach bar. Where we were welcomed by a “Goodmorning!” from the just awoken bar owner. We enjoyed some local delights such as coconuts, nasi and bananas while cracking some jokes about the first 5 days and hypothetical accidents that might arise when visiting the Komodo Island.

Around 1pm we headed back to the airport where the rest of the group was patiently waiting. We checked in and enjoyed the view from within the plane, which displayed all the other islands surrounding Bali. Once we arrived on Flores a tropical rainfall embraced us with open arms and many of us were relieved with the spacious environment. After a little bit of rest at the hotel we headed to explore the city of Labuan Bajo where we ate some traditional Indonesian food before heading to bed.
